Joining the list of celebrities and brands celebrating Black History Month is Virgil Abloh, who has unveiled an Apple Music-exclusive playlist.

The designer and DJ called the playlist Firsts, and included 23 songs from black artists. It spans many genres, including rap from Common, funk from War, jazz from Miles Davis, and even a cover of “Smooth Operator” by singer-songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello.

Regarding his selection, Abloh said, “This music is the soundtrack to my personal February.” Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that last year Abloh was appointed artistic director of menswear for Louis Vuitton, making him the first black man to hold the role.
