Financial publication Forbes unveils its list of 2015's richest hip-hop artists, shedding further light on Diddy (née P Diddy and/or Puff Daddy), Dr. Dre and Jay Z's race to become hip-hop's first ever billionaire. While Dr. Dre showed no hesitation in proclaiming himself hip-hop's first billionaire following the sale of his 25% stake in Beats by Dre, the colossal tax bill involved left him $300m short of a full billion, while Diddy's colossal business empire surged ahead, beating the LA native by $35m, thanks to his diverse base of investments that includes Ciroc Vodka and his Sean John clothing line.
