Editor’s Notes: Today, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas are launching Chapter 1 from Y-3’s FW18 collection, a nod to the ongoing collaborative nature of the brand. With an emphasis placed on craftsmanship, innovation, and tradition, the coinciding campaign points to the bustling energy of downtown Los Angeles and its modern youth.
The lookbook was then captured by Angelo Pennetta, and styled by Carlos Nazario, showcasing a variety of oversized silhouettes in exaggerated proportions. Sashiko-inspired stitching is also prevalent throughout the range, in addition to patchwork detailing and floor-skimming tailoring. Remaining true to the DNA of the brand, FW18 Chapter 1 is dressed predominantly in black.
