Yesterday, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas held the latest Y-3 presentation for FW18 at the historic Grand Palais.
Highsnobiety was granted backstage access at the event, in order to capture some detail shots of the forthcoming Y-3 footwear range. Y-3's designs continue to be informed by adidas' biggest innovation stories, including SPEEDFACTORY tech and the futuristic 4D sole created with American firm Carbon. Several new Y-3 styles are the result, including an all-new capsule collection inspired by James Harden, arriving in the form of the BYW BBall silhouette.
We also see the Kaiwa in low and high cuts, which blends a minimalist design with contrasting midsole accents, in addition to the sock-like Ekikacombines with a neoprene mesh upper. Lastly, the Bynder features a leather upper with hand-stitched details.
