The sneakerhead rumor mill first went into overdrive last year when images surfaced of an Air Jordan 4 retro model featuring KAWS’s signature “X” on a translucent, glow-in-the-dark sole.

Now, talk suggests a release date for the sure-to-be-golddust sneaker could come as early as March 1. The initial drop is said to be featured in a “Cool Grey/White” colorway, which contradicts the black silhouette featured in the Instagram post above.

Jordan Brand would be the latest in a long line of brands to collaborate with KAWS, with the likes of BAPE, Nike, Supreme, and Uniqlo having tapped the iconic artist in the past. Foreshadowing the release, KAWS recently collaborated with Nike Basketball on an asphalt mural in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

We’ll be watching this one closely, and will share further details as they emerge. In the meantime, here’s some of the best sneakers on display at London Fashion Week Men’s 2017.
