adidas' Taekwondo Mei has already proven itself a star. Now, the ballet-style sneaker is shining like one.

The sportswear brand debuts a new version of the model, the Taekwondo Mei Elite, dressed in shiny metallic outfits for its debut.

It's the same model but better (more elite, if you will). The newest iteration marries the previous ballet-coded design with soccer-shoe styling, like quilted leather uppers and asymmetrical shoelaces.

Think of it as the Predator if it went prima ballerina mode.

The Taekwondo Mei Elite enjoyed a super-stylish collaboration with fashion label Miaou. Now, the adidas sneaker lands in metallic gold and silver colorways on Naked's website for $110. And there's more luxe designs to come.
