How TF Is A$AP Rocky Best-Dressed Even During a Heatwave?
A$AP Rocky presents the latest edition of fashion's ultimate enigma: how TF do celebs keep hitting big 'fits in the middle of a heatwave?
Admittedly, safe bet that Rocky and Rihanna, out late on July 10 in sweltering NYC, were merely heading from air-conditioned car to air-conditioned room (at a recording studio, no less: R9 surely coming soon?!).
Still, even in the middle of the night, New York in July is pure heat-induced misery. Even when outside for only a second or two, the humidity alone is pure suffering.
But Rocky is entirely and typically unbothered, even buttoned-up and crisp in his much-fêted but never-imitated dadcore steeze. I ask, simply: How??
Speaking from experience: spending a few moments alone will inflict sweat suffocation.
Yet here we have Mr. A$AP Rocky, sweat-free and swagged-out, dressed impeccably in a short-sleeved shirt buttoned to the neck, clean black wool slacks, and chunky leather derbies to match, presumably worn with tall socks. Clean, classy and perfectly balanced, with a shirt that ends just below the waist and trim trousers that only reign in the sophisticated attitude put forth by Rocky's signature dark shades.
It's also definitely the right weather to wear nothing but his Fenty undies but he instead got fully dressed. Go figure.
Were I to try stepping out a fully buttoned shirt, dark dense pants and leather shoes OR tall socks — let alone both — in this weather, it'd be all over. I'd look like I just walked through a sauna — because I did.
For Rocky, though, might as well be a walk in a room-temp park.
He does this every summer, you know: flexing on all us sweat-prone suckers with his incredibly effortless, incredibly cool warm weather steeze.
Also note that a member of Rocky's security detail is carrying his customized AWGE Goyard bag, utilizing the precious carryall to tote a tiny keyboard.
There's obviously something happening here, musically.
Could just be more of Rocky's tunes, what with the new sounds he premiered at his AWGE fashion show in June but perhaps Rihanna, Fenty queen and PUMA genius, is also up to some newness.
It's all going smoothly, whatever it is. Clearly neither of them are breaking a sweat.
