BAPE

Brand: BAPE

Season: Fall/Winter 2019

Key Pieces: The bucket hat, pictured in slide #12, is reminiscent of Burberry's vintage check bucket hat and is the perfect streetwear staple to elevate any outfit.

Editor’s Notes: Japanese streetwear brand BAPE has unveiled a capsule that's covered in bold checkered prints. While it's not a collaboration by any stretch, the collection appears to pay homage to British fashion house Burberry, decking out its new collection in 200 percent enlarged tartan across outerwear, shirts, T-shirts, socks, and headwear.

BAPE's signature APE head appears on T-shirts or simply stitched onto the check backdrop as seen on the bucket hat and the Oxford shirt. Most items feature iterations in both the classic cream tartan and a blue and red version. Swipe through the gallery above to check out the capsule.
