A new BAPE collaboration has surfaced just days after the streetwear brand's most recent adidas sneaker arrived. Today, we get a brief look at the first-ever BAPE x New Balance project, featuring the 2002R.
Three teaser images of BAPE's New Balance collab have begun to circulate, previewing what appears to be two colorways of the ever-popular 2002R. The first photo shows a multicolored iteration with BAPE's signature camouflage at the collar, just above the imprint's familiar shark teeth motif. The second and third images tease similar design elements, albeit in a more muted colorway.
New Balance's 2002R has been the subject of a number of desirable collaborations in recent months, as the likes of Salehe Bembury, thisisneverthat, and Invincible and N. Hoolywood have all reimagined the runner. BAPE's impending take on the 2002R is likely to be as coveted as any, but you'll have to check back with us for subsequent details on the release. Early reports, however, are pointing to a launch in April.
