Drake apparently texted J. Cole “I hate you” after the latter’s KOD broke the Spotify record for biggest opening day. That record was, of course, previously held by Drizzy, who was none too pleased that it had been broken.

J. Cole himself revealed this in a snippet of a radio interview he had done with Power 105.1, which has yet to be released in full. In the teaser, J. Cole can be heard saying “Yeah he text me and said I hate you.”

Of course, it’s highly unlikely that Drake was actually mad at the “ATM” rapper, with the more likely explanation being that the snippet was taken out of context or that there’s more to the story.

With the full interview set to drop this morning, keep your eyes and ears peeled for its arrival, as he apparently talks about Kanye West alongside Drake, new music, and people hating on him.
