In celebration of the just-released EA SPORTS FIFA 20, EA SPORTS traveled coast to coast in the US to give fans early access to the hotly anticipated title where the sport is breaking new ground. The game’s major new feature is the inclusion of VOLTA FOOTBALL, FIFA 20’s street football mode that transports you to 17 different courts around the world, and brings the sport back to its street roots.

With a multitude of different narratives to choose from, including the popular career and Ultimate Team modes, VOLTA FOOTBALL gameplay celebrates the culture, creativity, and style of small-sided matches. The mode lets you express yourself in creative ways by building your own player and even picking their outfits. Customization is a huge part of VOLTA FOOTBALL – you can personalize everything from your player’s hairstyle to their tattoos, and fit them with all kinds of accessories to make them your own. Additionally, VOLTA FOOTBALL has 3vs3 to 5vs5 experiences, optional goalkeepers and pitch walls, professional futsal, a world tour, and more — letting you decide exactly how to play.

VOLTA FOOTBALL not only explores the new gameplay in EA SPORTS FIFA 20, but also highlights the artists, athletes, and local street culture that made the title such a classic for gamers.

EA SPORTS hit Miami’s South Beach with Major League Soccer on September 18 for its first stop where the game was welcomed with an exclusive launch party at The Temple House. The cavernous space was decked out to look and feel like all things FIFA 20, and celebs — like former NFL player Chad Johnson and MLS greats Landon Donovan, Taylor Twellman, and Charlie Davies — kicked it with fans looking to play one-on-one. To cap off the night, GoldLink headlined the party with a set that included a song from the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 soundtrack.

The tour then headed west to LA, bringing EA SPORTS FIFA 20 to life during a Los Angeles Football Club match. Located at Banc of California Stadium, LAFC supporters were invited to play the game on a giant double-decker gaming bus, and compete in open-play competition on a pop-up VOLTA FOOTBALL court orchestrated by Venice Beach Football Club.
