What We’re Saying: Do not wear these to bathhouses. Or do. It’s totally up to you.

With the Tokyo 2020 Olympics right around the corner, so too is the first release from Nike SB’s Olympics pack. The FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low is one of several Dunks being released in celebration of the Olympics.

For this release, FTC founder Kent Uyehara took inspiration from Japanese indoor bathhouses called Sento. The crystal blue suede, quilted white overlays, yellow lining, and silver detailing on the Swoosh are all nods to the squeaky clean aesthetic of Sento bathhouses.

The tradition of these public bathhouses is one that dates back several hundred years. To this day, they are used by people of all walks of life to recharge, refresh, and escape from the daily grind.

The FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low is set to be released on July 21 for $110.
