Kanye West celebrated his father beating cancer on Tuesday by eating a plate of cooked insects, instead of the usual congratulatory food staples like cake, to mark the cancer-free diagnosis.

Ye tweeted a photo of the meal full of toasted bugs in a plastic container, alongside a set of chopsticks. "Overcome fear," he wrote. "My dad and I are going to eat this plate of bugs to celebrate him beating cancer. No more fear."

According to TMZ, Kanye's father, Ray, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July. Ray had divorced Kanye West’s late mother Donda when the artist was young, and he was reportedly being treated for the disease in Los Angeles.

This positive news for Kanye comes after getting booed off SNL for his pro-Trump rant, and clarifying his 13th amendment comments on TMZ Live.

Also, Kanye West just made his wife Kim Kardashian a part-owner of YEEZY.
