The Moncler & Poldo Dog Couture project drops today, and this collection calls out for all the canine lovers who know a dress-up pup is not just man’s best friend, but also man's best accessory. As part of this year's Moncler Genius World Tour, the project champions the motto “One House, Different Voices,” referencing the innovative international designers Moncler has invited to dig into its archives and expertly reimagine the luxury garments for the present day.

For Moncler Genius’ newest collaboration, they’re taking a quick break from outfitting those with two legs to those with four legs. This is where Italian luxury dog brand Poldo Dog Couture steps in. This highbrow dog apparel borrows classics from the Moncler archive, like gilets and raincoats, and reinterprets them for our canine companions.

Found in the collection are duvet vests made from natural nylon laqué that come in six sizes – fully tailored for the teacup chihuahua all the way up to an Old English Sheepdog – and in an array of colors including yellow, pink, and blue. There are also on-trend translucent PVC raincoats and knitwear-printed gilets evocative of a snug winter pullover, both ideal for an autumn-winter walk. A matching leash and dog collar set in the classic red-white-and-blue tricolor, a wink to Moncler’s French origin, round out the collection.

Compared to Moncler, Poldo Dog Couture is a relative unknown. It was only founded three years ago in Milan, but the partnership makes a statement on the aspirational nature of lifestyle luxury. Moncler’s refined functionality and rugged workmanship now extend to the world of domestic dog apparel. Now Fido can look fitted, too.
