Editor’s Notes: Jordan Brand’s 2018 holiday season lineup is a big one, with the Air Jordan XI “Concord” being released today, December 8. The sneaker is available in full family sizing.
Just like 2016’s “Space Jam” release, Nike confirmed that this version features the original patent leather cut and “45” on the heels. As previously rumored, the “Concord” Nike Air Jordan 11 comes in the OG box, something that will please a lot of old school sneakerheads.
The Air Jordan XI “Concord” originally released in 1995 and has been retroed several times since then. The silhouette has achieved grail-status among the sneaker world for several reasons. It was the first sneaker MJ wore upon his first return from retirement, when he wore the #45 jersey because his #23 had already been retired.
The AJ 11 also made waves for including patent leather on a basketball shoe. Tinker Hatfield had, once again, revolutionized basketball sneaker design.
