Editor's Notes: It feels like only yesterday that we got a full look at the upcoming Jordan Brand holiday release calendar and started picking off all our favorites – and there was plenty of them.

As is life, blink, and the time has come that these releases have started to roll around and start a frenzy on Nike SNKRS.

Kicking things off with a strong start is the Nike Air Jordan 5, the World War II fighter plane-inspired and Fresh Prince-adored silhouette that has remained close to the heart of Air Jordan conessiours over the years. Despite the fast-approaching dark, colder months, the latest member of the AJ5 family is a colorful reminder of the summer. Welcome, the "Bluebird."

As its name would suggest, the silhouette is all about blue. A sky blue suede fills the entirety of the upper panels, matched with plastic mesh underlays, tooling, and laces. The iconic oversized AJ5 tongue retains its usual metallic silver coloring, which is also found on parts of the midsole and heel. Final touches of a deep teal tidy up the remaining parts of the midsole while also filling the lining, insole, and parts of the icy outsole.

If Narnia's Ice Queen rocked Js, these would be in the daily rotation.
