Vans shows the timeless Authentic sneaker through the lens of iconic Amsterdam streetwear brand Patta, and Namibian photographer Kyle Weeks.

The editorial contextualises the Authentic within the quaint Dutch capital, travelling through the city’s small streets to the sunbathed waterfront. Originally named Style 44, the Authentic the most enduring and recognizable silhouettes out of the original seven styles launched by Vans upon their founding in 1966. First released by Vans in navy blue, white, loden green & red, the infamous Zephyr skate team of the late-’70s Dogtown era notably favored the navy blue version, which was later immortalized as part of the Dogtown uniform.

The beautifully shot editorial follows up on previous product collaborations between Patta and Vans, including co-branded Sk8-Hi and Era sneakers.
