All of a sudden, pgLang and Converse are back. Following their 2022 linkup, pgLang and Converse return to the Chuck 70 sneaker, now offered in two black iterations — one with navy and cream pinstriping and the other with cream and red piping.

Here's the thing, though: fans won't know which rendition they copped until it's time to unbox their pgLang x Converse delivery.

Slated to release on November 2, pgLang and Converse's Chuck 70 collaboration will launch at Converse and pgLang's websites for a smooth $100. The partnership will then leave the purchase up to "fate" and "luck," randomly shipping out one of the two Chuck 70s to lucky buyers. Which one? Rip open the package and found out for yourself.

JJJJound recently dabbled in the concept with its Reebok NPC II collab, blessing fans with either arctic white or optic white sneakers. I'm still trying to figure out the difference to this day, but they aren't the same, according the brand.

Anywho, back to pgLang and Converse. The latest Chuck 70s preserves many details from the previous team-up, including the hiking-style lace eyelets and dual ankle branding.

Fans can also still count on those subtle messages — as stamped on the heel — echoing pgLang's knack for creative albeit thoughtful storytelling.

We never know what to expect from Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free's creative agency these days. The mysterious brand makes these quiet moves, and then — surprise — a new project appears like a new album by its artists or not-your-typical underwear campaigns.

Now, alongside another raw campaign starring musician and Euphoria star Dominic Fike, pgLang is randomly dropping another Converse sneaker. Heavy emphasis on random, by the way.
