It's been a whirlwind of a week for Rihanna stans on social media.

On Monday, the Bad Gal was declared a national hero of Barbados during the country's presidential inauguration, marking its official separation from the British royal family and Queen Elizabeth II.

Photos taken during the ceremony show RiRi with her hands clasped in front of her stomach, a benign gesture that some wishful fans interpreted as her attempting to hide a baby bump.

As rumors swirled, Twitter handle @BenjaminEnfield — a verified account that goes by the name of "The Academy" — posted a photo of the star and her beau, A$AP Rocky, with a rather authoritative caption reading, "Rihanna is pregnant with her first child with A$AP Rocky," sans source or official confirmation.

Not much intel on The Academy or its creator, Benjamin Enfield, exists, though the business purports to be a school and marketing service for aspiring musicians.

The account boasts one million followers, many of which appear to be promotional accounts or ghost handles, perhaps purchased from one of many account-boosting services.

Regardless, the internet was all too eager to run with The Academy's unverified post.

At the time of publishing, A$AP Rocky was trending on Twitter, as netizens took to the platform to express their surprise, excitement, and condolences for Drake.

On TikTok, the hashtag #rihannapregnant has garnered over 395,000 views, largely thanks to videos lamenting the fact that a potential pregnancy may throw all hope for a new Rih album out the window.

Of course, a shot of Rihanna holding her hands in front of her midsection isn't exactly definitive proof she's pregnant — at the moment, it's safe to say that the rumors should be taken with several grains of salt.

That said, imagine how stylish anything created by Rih + Rocky would be!
