Editors Notes: Salomon's ACS Advanced Pro is fast proving itself as a top contender in the sneaker game, its new set of Spring/Summer 2022 colorways cleared off shelves as quickly as they arrived. However, all is not lost for those wanting to get their hands on a pair for retail, as they are being given a restock.
Pulling a shoe from your archive, retooling it with modern technology, and putting it back out into the wild is a risky business – sure, nostalgia often does a lot of the work for you, but as has been the case with several Nike updates over the years, including several 90s Air Max, sometimes the updates break the mold, in a bad way.
In the case of the ACS Advanced Pro, the risk paid big rewards, as every colorway since its debut has flown off shelves in an instant.
Given the shoe's shape, which is a lot more angular and street-inspired than the like of the XT-6 or XT-4, it's unsurprising that it's been met with such strong mainstream success.
