Supreme

Brand: Supreme

Season: Fall/Winter 2019

Key Pieces:  The highly anticipated "Supreme is Love" jacket incorporates imagery used for The Smiths‘ Meat is Murder album. The original image was of U.S. Marine Corporal Michael Wynn during the Vietnam War. The iconic image saw “Make War Not Love” inscribed on Wynn's helmet. For FW19 Supreme has appropriated the image for this “supreme is love” zip-up jacket.

Release Date: In-store on August 22 and online August 26

Buy: Supreme

Editor’s Notes: Supreme's FW19 Jackets selection encompasses a wide variety of fabrics, colors and big-name collaborators. Schott NYC returns with a long and heavy black leather jacket as well as an eyecatching red leather jacket. The latter comes the eight-ball motif engulfed in flames, which is painted across the back.

Collaborative pieces include indigenous American artist, “John Goodwin” Nytom who brings his Makah designs to the outerwear collection. So too does graffiti artist Delta, who lends his design to the varsity jacket. The Sherpa jacket in bright blue is yet another standout piece from the drop. Hip hop duo, dead prez also make their mark on the emerald green quilted jacket which we hope is a sign of a larger collaboration to come.

The GORE-TEX offering includes a steezy leopard print jacket, as well as a long, patterned rain jacket in a muted, green/brown colorway. Browse the collection above.
