Just last week Tesla finally made its $35,000 Model 3 available to purchase. In continuing to look ahead, Elon Musk now announces the unveil event for Tesla's new Model Y.

According to Musk, the Model Y SUV is 10 percent bigger than the Model 3, therefore it will be roughly 10 percent more expensive. The vehicle will then have slightly less range on the same battery.

Musk went on to state that detailed specs and pricing for the Model Y will be announced at the unveil event on March 14 at LA Design Studio. Those in attendance will also be able to test ride the car.
