Following rave reviews at Sundance, A24 shares the official trailer for Joanna Hogg's anticipated new film, The Souvenir, starring Tilda Swinton, her daughter Honor Swinton Byrne, and Tom Burke.

Byrne leads the way with her portrayal of a shy yet ambitious film student who falls in love with a charismatic but untrustworthy man (Burke), just as she is beginning to find her artistic footing. Swinton then plays Byrne's overprotective mother who becomes deeply concerned with her daughter's noticeably unhealthy romantic relationship.

The Souvenir is reportedly a reflection of the past from British writer-director Jonna Hogg. The picture won the Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

You can look forward to The Souvenir releasing in theaters May 17.
