La Flame rocked a special pair of Nike Air Jordan 6s in an olive colorway with black, reflective, and infrared detailing. Upon closer inspection, a button-closure pocket is also visible on the lateral side of the sneaker. The upper looked to predominantly feature nubuck, which is typical of the Air Jordan 6, while the aforementioned pocked detail was made from canvas. Scott was likely teasing an upcoming collaboration, but given the Houston rapper's recent collaborations with READYMADE, the pocket could also be a custom detail added by the Japanese brand.
Levine, meanwhile, wore the much-teased Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 1, which is rumored to be dropping in April, and features a reversed Swoosh detail.
Last year's halftime show at Super Bowl LII also created a significant amount of buzz around the Air Jordan 3 JTH worn by Justin Timberlake. According to Apex Marketing Group, the kicks’ exposure last year on the big stage was worth about $2.86 million in marketing costs to the Jordan Brand, so it's clear that the brand was hoping to duplicate that feat once again this year, by lacing all halftime performers with Jumpman kicks.
Atlanta legend Big Boi also performed in his hometown, rocking a pair of “Oregon” Tinker Air Jordan 3s, ensuring it was an all-Jordan Brand affair onstage.
