Editor’s Notes: Following weeks of teasers and leaks, the release of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 is today, June 9. Peep close up kicks of the shoes below and look out for it launching on the Nike SNKRS app at 10.00 a.m. EDT. Other retailers to stock the coveted creps include Sneakersnstuff, who will be hosting an online raffle, as will WISH. The likes of Bodega and Oneness will host in-store raffles, while KITH offers an app raffle.

Cactus Jack refers to Scott's nickname and record label of the same name, and the blue, red, and black colorway looks to be a nod to NFL franchise Houston Oilers, now known as the Tennessee Titans. The Oilers played in Houston between 1960 and 1996 before relocating to Tennessee. The Tennessee Oilers became the Titans in 1998 to coincide with the opening of the team’s new stadium.

Travis Scott is a well-known fan of Houston sports, most recently celebrating the Astros’ World Series win and seen courtside at various Houston Rockets NBA games. So it makes sense for Scott to give a nod toward a former Houston sports franchise.
