After being treated to an on-foot look thanks to @hanzuying, @willy, and a number of other Instagram accounts, the hotly-anticipated sneaker surprise-dropped on Nike SNKRS during Travis Scott’s Grammy Award performance.
With that, the reverse-Swoosh-clad Air Jordan 1 is no longer just a rumored release or possible sample but an officially-released collaboration. Nike has long employed such surprise drops, mostly through its SNKRS app (SNEAKRS in Europe).
The most famous such instance is probably Kanye West’s final Nike sneaker, the Red October Air Yeezy 2, while Justin Timberlake’s JTH Nike Air Jordan 3 also surprise-dropped during the singer’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in 2018.
If rumors are to be believed, the next Travis Scott x Nike collaboration will see a wider release at some point in April. However, nothing has been confirmed just yet.
As always, stay tuned for further release information as we get it. Until then, check out the on-foot photos above.
