Originally released in June, Travis Scott’s Nike Air Jordan IV “Cactus Jack” seemed like one of the most popular sneakers to drop this summer. So it was a big surprise when a Florida Nike clearance store announced a surprise sale of the kicks yesterday.

News of the sale was first tweeted by @Just4Kicks212 on the morning of the flash sale, with the user sharing a picture of a flyer in the store window announcing the shoe’s availability.

Users quickly responded with images and videos of their own, showing just how many of the sneakers were actually available behind the counter. As news spread, more and more people showed up, causing what can best be described as a sneaker frenzy.

According to @Just4Kicks212, 170 pairs were available. The Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan IV “Cactus Jack” was sold alongside two other models: the “Win Like ’96” Nike Air Jordan XIs and “Gatorade” Nike Air Jordan VIs, both of which were reportedly discounted at $114 each.

Check out some of the reactions below and leave your thoughts on why these pairs made their way to clearance in the comments.
