Last night, the 58th Annual Grammy Awards was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Due to the U.S. Presidents’ Day long weekend, the event was broadcasted on a Monday for the first time ever on CBS (also a first). The star-studded affair was met with a bevy of dazzling performances, including a lit opening by the night’s “Album of the Year” winner Taylor Swift, a David Bowie tribute by Lady Gaga, and a searing number by Kendrick Lamar, who took home the golden gramophone for each rap category.
Sure, the Grammys are all about lauding the year’s biggest achievements in music, but that’s not the only reason why millions of viewers tune in. Aside from their artistic feats, musicians have long been tastemakers when it comes to style. Never ones to shy away from the spotlight with their bold sartorial choices, this year’s ceremony was met with a slew of eye-grabbing getups, from the delightfully dashing to the ridiculously ratchet. Check out our favorite looks below.
A$AP Rocky attending the ceremony with the late A$AP Yams’ mom in a hippie-grandma getup. Glad he dressed up for the occasion.
Lady Gaga channeling the late David Bowie (or Ronald McDonald) in a striking sapphire Marc Jacobs gown.
The Biebs rocking Saint Laurent while tagging along his little brother, who’s wearing an outfit that probably costs more than the one you’re wearing right now.
The Weeknd and his better half Bella Hadid achieving all kinds of couple goals while wearing Givenchy.
Ciara bringing the heat in a revealing Alexandre Vauthier dress.
Special cloth alert.
Kehlani being one with the red carpet and looking fine while doing it.
Common just happy to be there.
Wiz Khalifa strolled through the affair after either A) being attacked by a horde of angry moths, or B) leaving his clothes in the dryer for too long. Or maybe that’s just a jawn from Thom Browne’s FW16 collection?
Fetty Wap coming his way, chains and all.
Was there a black and white tuxedo memo this year?
Separately, they go by Skrillex and Diplo. Together, they’re known as Jack Ü. And aside from looking surprisingly dapper, they slayed this year’s Electronic/Dance category nominations.
Taylor Swift looking pretty as a popsicle in this vibrant Versace Atelier number.
Kendrick rocking a low-key dad look in Costume National.
Selena Gomez going full-on mermaidcore in Calvin Klein.
Miguel taking style cues from Gomez Addams. We approve.
Beyoncé, the glitterati ghost.
Ariana Grande rocking her trademark ponytail and a crimson gown. Can’t think of a witty pun for this, but she looks good right?
Adele looking glitzy and witchy in Givenchy.
Who said that Billy Ray Cyrus was the only one who could rock a mullet?
