Each season, Pitti Uomo partners with select designers who debut their latest offerings at the Florence-based fashion tradeshow. In the past, we’ve seen names like Gosha Rubchinskiy and White Mountaineering debut their respective collections, but this year was a little different.

For FW17, Pitti inked a special agreement with the Japan Fashion Week Organization to bring Japanese brand Sulvam to the spotlight. Founded in 2014 by Teppei Fujita, Sulvam was the star of Pitti Uomo 91, taking over Stazione Leopolda to unveil a new range of cut and sew. Speaking with Pitti Uomo on his design process, Fujita notes “I only create my collection based on the emotions I am feeling at that time and I want my brand to be clothes that are worn by cool men.”

Check out the exclusive gallery above, and stay tuned for more news from Sulvam, and from fashion week as it continues on to Milan, Paris and Copenhagen.
