Demna Gsavalia, the artistic director at Balenciaga and head honcho over at Vetements, has scored another fashion first. Balenciaga is set to be the first brand to take over Paris’s achingly trendy concept store, colette, with a fully immersive branded experience. It’s set to open on June 19th through to August 5, 2017.

Balenciaga will be probing its artistic side with a specially designed installation in colette’s windows, allowing customers to have a street view of several cities around the world including London, Berlin, and New York.

Gsavalia has also tapped one his favorite Berlin-based artists, Yngve Holen, who is set to exhibit his piece titled CAKE. The Norwegian-German artist’s piece comprises a Porsche Panarema cut into four pieces.

It’s a bold sculptural statement in which Holen quite literally ravages the ultimate object of family domesticity – the car. It’s cut up, rendering it wholly inoperable and sits alone, utterly broken with majestic splendor.

Alongside its most recent collections, the Balenciaga product offering will see a range of limited edition pieces from the FW17 men’s and women’s collections made in new fabrics and colors – exclusively available to buy at colette.

Another exclusive range of keepsake objects splashed in the Balenciaga logo will also be available to buy including sleeping masks and novelty mugs.

For those who want the full Balenciaga treatment, Mei Kwajiri, the nail artist who works on Balenciaga shows, will be on hand to offer exact reproductions of the nail-art from the past collections. The service is free and will run in store from July 2-6.

The Balenciaga experience doesn’t stop there, as colette will also riff off of the house’s “officecore” theme prevalent in its men’s FW17 collection and open a “Balenciaga Copy Center” where customers can use two digital machines to customize white T-shirts and hoodies with a selection of graphic overlays.

Be quick though, the customized Balenciaga steez will be limited to just 900 pieces from June 18 to July 10.
