Following yesterday’s look at Ugly God — in addition to previous entries from Playboi Carti, PnB Rock and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie — now it’s Kyle’s turn to present his XXL Freshman Class freestyle to the world. By now, you should have gotten the drift, as each rapper in turn delivers fresh bars without any background instrumentation.

Most recently, Kyle has experienced mainstream success thanks to his standout hit, “iSpy,” featuring fellow young gun, Lil Yachty. “‘iSpy’ has been the most unexpected event in my entire career,” the Ventura rapper revealed when speaking to XXL. “I put out ‘iSpy’ just as something to give out to my fans. It wasn’t something that I made happen myself.”

In continuing further, Kyle dove into his style as it pertains to music, saying, “I think my style of rap is just very honest. But almost so honest to the point where it’s like, ‘Okay, you didn’t need to tell us all that.’”

“I just feel like I have to reveal stuff about myself within my music or else it doesn’t resonate with me… I feel like nobody’s approached music, especially hip-hop music, from this point of view.”
