Ariana Grande now has her first Billboard Hot 100 number one single with her recently-released “Thank U, Next.” In the first week since its debut, the song has amassed 55.5 million streams and 81,000 downloads.
Billboard points out that not only is Grande’s “Thank U, Next” the number one jam in the country, but the musician also has 11 songs on the Hot 100. Prior to “Thank U, Next” reaching the top spot, Grande’s 2014 single “Problems” was her high mark at number two. In addition, the 25-year-old artist is the first woman with a solo number one single in 2018, following Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” from last October.
