Highsnobiety

It feels like Brain Dead can do no wrong at the moment. The multi-disciplinary collective has captured the attention of fashion lovers with its bold, colorful take on contemporary style. Recent projects include a pair of climbing shoes, a collaborative collection with iconic French label A.P.C., and now a selection of eyewear. Five original frames — Kurata, Tani, Elia, Kopelman, and Chibi — spanning from classic square-lens styles to futuristic rectangular sleekness constitute what Brain Dead has labeled ‘post-modern primitive eye protection’.

Crafted from cellulose acetate, made from cotton and wood, all of the frames are eco-friendly, sustainably sourced, and bio-degradable. High-quality stainless steel cored add strength and flexibility alongside durable zinc-free barrel hinges. Most importantly, Brain Dead eyewear boasts optical-quality nylon lenses that offer 100% UV protection.
