Double Tap to Zoom

Betty, HBO's new series inspired by Crystal Moselle's 2018 film Skate Kitchen, has just about everything you want from a bingeable summer series to consume in quarantine. Its fresh, its fun, and it introduces us to five incredible women who you'll want to be your best friends within minutes - as the show pretty succinctly states, “It’s called being down for my girls.”

It's practically a bonus that these women are stylish as hell. With that in mind, we could think of no one better than Dede Lovelace (who stars as Janay) to be our Guest Eyewear Critic. Watch our video below to get her thoughts on an array of summer sunnies inspo - including Thom Browne ("Dope"), Gentle Monster, and Oakley.
