Stone plays the dog-napping fashion icon with a Tim Burton-style twist, alongside Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, and Walter Hauser. Vulture reports that although Stone wasn't there for the reveal she phoned in a video message telling fans “I’m here on our first day of shooting Cruella,” she said. “It’s 1970 and set in London, and it’s punk rock.”
