Warning: Major Game of Thrones spoilers below.

Last night, Game of Thrones delivered its long-awaited “Battle of Winterfell” and the 80-minute-long episode did not disappoint. The episode outstripped “The Battle of the Bastards” and even the 40 minute-long “Battle of Helm's Deep” in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers to become the longest battle in film history.

Director Miguel Sapochnik told EW that episode took 11 weeks of grueling night shoots to realize the “biggest action sequence ever seen on television.”

As you might expect from such a historically lengthy battle scene, not everyone made it out alive. While there were some sad departures, Twitter was quick to find the lighter side of this bloody episode.
