Following the first in what will be many illustrated outfits, we now present the first part of an ongoing series of redesigned brand logos. Created by Dutch artist Mike Frederiqo exclusively for us, the first illustrations focus on two Highsnobiety regulars and all-around legendary streetwear brands - Supreme and Stussy. The two have a history together as Supreme's James Jebbia once worked with Shawn Stussy at his namesake brand before venturing off on his own to form Supreme. It's only fitting then that we package these two iconic brands together and present reworked Supreme and Stussy logos.

Among the first in what would later be called "streetwear," Shawn Stussy's brand was founded in 1980 and since the early '80s has used Shawn's last name, which he scrawled on his handcrafted surfboards, as its logo. So for the redesign, a very flexible Stussy is configured into his own logo which naturally includes a bit of street culture's medium of choice - spray paint.

Founded 14 years later in New York City, Supreme has since gone on to become one of the most respected brands in streetwear and fashion in general. Drawing heavily on Barbara Kruger's conceptual artwork, the brand's logo has been reworked with Jebbia in a number of poses outfitted in Supreme's sought-after box logo tee. Kermit the Frog makes an appearance, too, after laying low since the Spring/Summer 2008 season.

Enjoy the two pieces above and stay tuned for more.
