H&M's forthcoming collaboration with Parisian luxury house Balmain - announced back in May - is sure to be one of the most hotly-anticipated collections of the season. Olivier Rousteing's house will follow the likes of Maison Margiela, Alexander Wang and Versace, releasing a collection of affordably-priced gear made in collaboration with the fast-fashion retailer. Following the usual trickle of teasers, video snippets and campaign imagery, we can now reveal the collection's official lookbook.
Taking the idea of a high street collaboration to its logical conclusion, Balmain have quite literally served up their entire aesthetic at a lower price point. The biker pants, pea coats, military-style branding, gratuitous leather paneling and glossy tuxedo-esque blazers all smack of the glitz-and-glamour aesthetic that has made Balmain such a staple among the rich and famous of late. No doubt the collection will be a smash hit - like so many of the H&M collaborations before it - when it lands November 5.
