According to new Instagram data, Kendall Jenner is the most followed model on Instagram with over 87 million followers — more than double second-placed Cara Delevingne. Supreme, Virgil Abloh and Alessandro Michele might not have as many followers but their fans are more "engaged," meaning they like and comment on more of their posts.
Instagram has around 800 million active users and fashion is the platform’s third most followed account type. Around 87.4 million of those users follow Kendall Jenner, who is officially the most followed model. Cara Delevingne follows in second with 41.1 million followers, while Gigi Hadid rounds out the top three with 38.4 million.
None of the three are featured on the list of models that have the most engaged followers though. On that front, Gucci's Alessandro Michele, Supreme, Virgil Abloh, and Fenty Puma by Rihanna top the list of the top 10 designers with the most-engaged followers.
Instagram’s research shows that users under the age of 25 spend on average more than 32 minutes a day on Instagram, while those over the age of 25 spend an average of 24 minutes a day scrolling their feeds.
