Kanye West's dome-shaped housing prototypes in Calabasas have been torn down, TMZ reports. The news arrives after the Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Works ordered the removal as West and his team had neglected to obtain the correct construction permits.

Apparently all but one of the homes have been destroyed at present, five days ahead of the September 15 deadline set by the city. According to previous reports, the permit discovery followed multiple neighbor complaints of late-night and weekend construction, which resulted in an inspector arriving on-site and issuing the destruction notice.

It's not yet clear whether West intends to postpone the project, considering these homes were apparently prototypes and therefore never intended to be permanent structures, or whether he'll cancel his YEEZY Home social housing endeavors entirely.
