Kanye West's utopian social housing vision YEEZY Home has reportedly come undone. According to TMZ, after racking up complaints and building violations, the Calabasas dome houses are currently being demolished — with the ongoing noise coming from the construction site over the weekend leading neighbors to call the cops.

According to neighbors, West's crews have been working seven days a week, including more than 12 hours on Saturday — against 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. regulations — and additional work on Sunday, which is forbidden outright. On Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m., a neighbor living adjacent to the property finally called the cops to complain about the noise. The police ordered the crew to stop immediately and they complied.

TMZ's report shows that one of the four dome structures has been torn down and it would appear that the rest will be torn down to meet a September 15 deadline set by the city. As previously reported, local authorities had reportedly told the rapper to either get the correct permits for construction or tear the work down by the deadline, and it looks like he went for the latter option.

It's unclear whether West is ditching the project outright or simply putting it on hold.
