New doors in Shibuya may not seem like the first logical move for Richmond, Virginia-based retailer Need Supply Co., but it’s not your average boutique. After 20 years of representing some of the most important and coveted independent labels, the boutique is set to open two new shops in Japan as well as another one stateside (our money is on Los Angeles). The new space was designed to reflect its stately Virginian roots, hence details like crown moldings inside of the stark, minimal space.
“We feel the DNA of Need Supply Co. Brand will translate well into the Japanese market,” says creative director Gabriel Ricioppo. With a brand list that combines the best from Scandinavia, America and Japan, we think this will indeed be an easy transition. See the new space above and keep your eyes open for more news on Need Supply Co.’s mpressive expansion.
