No matter how many articles we read or memes we see that tell us to be more reasonable about our New Year’s Resolutions, most of us will still put “be more active” or “lose weight” at the top of the list. As much as we can argue about the effectiveness of making that a New Year’s resolution, it’s still a goal worth supporting, be it your own goal or someone else’s.
So, with the holiday period coming up right before the new year and gift shopping most certainly on the to do list, it makes sense to blow some of that budget on helping those around you reach their goals and set them up for success come January 1. To help you shop for either yourself or someone else, we’ve pulled a selection of some of our favorite fitness products.
Here are our favorite adidas fitness products to shop this holiday season:
MYSHELTER Climaheat Parka Down Jacket
If your New Year’s resolution is to get fit, chances are you’ll be starting that new gym routine while it’s cold out. Therefore, a new jacket for the trip to and from the gym makes a lot of sense. The above adidas parka down jacket features overlapping down chambers for increased heat retention (important before and after a workout) and is even water-resistant.
Frostguard Insulated Vest
A little bit of layering never hurt anybody. Whether you’re running and staying active outdoors (for which this Frostguard insulated vest is perfect) or need another layer on your commute to keep you from freezing, do yourself a favor.
Terrex Agravic Tights
Another layering piece that can be worn indoors or outdoors depending on your fitness routine, these Terrex Agravic tights from adidas help keep you warm and offer increased stability. This makes them a good choice for a variety of workout types.
When you’re ramping up your fitness routine in the winter, rain, snow, and sleet are a big deterrent from keeping your routine in check. The adidas Wandertag jacket is waterproof, breathable and wind-resistant, putting an end to any and all excuses. As an added bonus, the jacket features an internal security pocket, allowing you to keep essentials on you at all times.
These running shorts are the perfect companion to the above impact heat tights if you’re running outside and don’t want to sacrifice your shorts for longer pants. The shorts x tights combination is both warmth-ensuring and a look that exudes confidence in the gym. Trust us.
adidas Ultraboost 19
The original Ultraboost was going to be a tough act to follow for any shoe that came after it. The adidas Ultraboost 19, though, managed to exceed expectations and improve on a design many thought already perfect. If you’re looking for a sneaker that packs a performance punch but looks good while doing it, look no further.
NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Gloves
Running or working out outside means you’ve got to take extra precautions to protect your extremities. Gloves will ensure you don’t get frostbite on your fingers and will make gripping anything (like weights) much easier in the cold.
Alphaskin Sport Moto tee
Similarly, if you know you’re susceptible to cold, you might want to invest in base layer, such as the long-sleeve tee above. This can be worn on its own or underneath another layer for added warmth.
Staying hydrated is just as important as the exercise itself. Without enough water you’ll feel weak and tired, making that trip to the gym practically useless. Always have a bottle on you, preferably a multi-use one for the sake of the environment.
Universal Works x adidas Bag
While not exactly a must-have, you might want to consider getting a bum bag in the mould of the one above. If you’re going to be running or lifting weights, having your phone and wallet in your pockets could prove a nuisance. Instead, put everything in a bag, where you’re guaranteed nothing will fall out.
