No matter how many articles we read or memes we see that tell us to be more reasonable about our New Year’s Resolutions, most of us will still put “be more active” or “lose weight” at the top of the list. As much as we can argue about the effectiveness of making that a New Year’s resolution, it’s still a goal worth supporting, be it your own goal or someone else’s.
So, with the holiday period coming up right before the new year and gift shopping most certainly on the to do list, it makes sense to blow some of that budget on helping those around you reach their goals and set them up for success come January 1. To help you shop for either yourself or someone else, we’ve pulled a selection of some of our favorite fitness products.
Here are our favorite Nike fitness products to shop this holiday season:
AeroLayer Running Jacket
If your New Year’s resolution is to get fit, chances are you’ll be starting that new gym routine while it’s cold out. Therefore, a new jacket for the trip to and from the gym makes a lot of sense. The above Nike AeroLayer running jacket is designed to trap warm air for super, lightweight warmth (important before and after a workout). It’s also water-resistant.
Nike AeroLoft Running Vest
A little bit of layering never hurt anybody. Whether you’re running and staying active outdoors (for which this AeroLoft vest is perfect) or need another layer on your commute to keep you from freezing, do yourself a favor.
Nike Joyride Run Flyknit
Chances are, you’re not the most active person if your New Year’s resolution is to get fit. That’s where Nike’s Joyride Run Flyknit sneaker is perfect for you, as it’s designed to make running easier for every level of athlete, from beginner to running pro.
Half-zip Sherpa Hoodie
When you’re ramping up your fitness routine in the winter, rain, snow, and sleet are a big deterrent from keeping your routine in check. Nike’s half-zip sherpa hoodie is incredibly warm and stylish to boot, making it the perfect layering option for your commute to and from the gym.
These running shorts are made to work out in but are cool enough to work as casual shorts too. If you want to add a bit of steez to your workout outfit, put on a pair of tights underneath for that “I know what I’m doing” gym look. Trust us.
Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%
A silhouette known and loved by some of the world’s quickest athletes. Fine-tuned for optimal speed, the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% is a record breaker’s best friend. The shoe’s carbon fibre plate and ZoomX foam combine for some serious energy return.
Lightweight, No-Show Running Socks
Not all socks are created equal. If you’re planning on doing most of your workout indoors, you won’t be needing thick crew-socks that take up more space than necessary in your bag and, let’s face it, don’t look as cool as the no-show running socks above.
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Trail GORE-TEX
If you’re more of an outdoors kind of person, even in the winter, you’ll want to consider grabbing a pair of GORE-TEX-infused sneakers, such as the above Pegasus 36 Trail sneakers. Whether it’s raining or snowing, these kicks will make sure you finish your workout strong.
Apple Watch Nike Series 3
If you’re serious about getting fit, you might want to invest in a bit of tech to help you reach the lofty goals you’ve set yourself. The Nike-edition Apple Watch comes with built-in GPS to track your runs, as well as a sport-ready band that is both lightweight and breathable.
Vapor Power Duffel Bag
While not exactly a must-have, you might want to consider getting a duffel bag in the mold of the one above. If you’re going to be working out a lot, it’s best to have a dedicated bag for all your gear. The above bag features multiple, zippered pockets that will help keep everything organized, while a shoe compartment separates your clean and dirty gear.
