What We’re Saying: Nice Kicks is closing out the month with a bang. In addition to releasing its final tie-dye collaboration with adidas, the retailer is also launching a new joint effort alongside ASICS. Titled "Nice Cream," the project centers around the GEL-LYTE III and is inspired by the favorite summer destination for the Nice Kicks team, the ice cream parlor.

"Getting smacked in the face with the cold ice cream parlor air. Your eyes darting around the ice cream case in search of the perfect flavor. The anticipation that comes as your choice gets scooped up and placed into your hands. That singular ice cream parlor experience is something the creative team wanted to capture with this release," Nice Kicks said in a press release.

Much like the typical ice cream experience, Nice Kicks has incorporated numerous ingredients to deliver a mouth-watering take on the GEL-LYTE III. For starters, the color palette is a nod to the classic flavors of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Patent leather, tonal net, a splatter mid piece, and a white midsole then come together throughout to further tell the ice cream story. The sneaker comes with two sets of laces, one of which is emerald green to reference glassware often seen in vintage ice cream parlors. And as the best ice cream recipes come served with a cherry on top, a cherry hangtag accompanies the sneaker to complete the design.

Releasing on July 30 on shopnicekicks.com and at Nice Kicks retail locations, the Nice Kicks x ASICS GEL-LYTE III "Nice Cream" arrives packaged in a white matte box designed to mimic a milkshake glass that allows you to see the colors of the shoe through the transparent areas.
