Nike does not look to be slowing down when it comes to releasing new colorways of its iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. Leaked images suggest we could be seeing yet another “Pine Green” Nike Air Jordan 1 drop some time in 2020. The first, which dropped in September 2018, added pine green detailing to the popular “Bred Toe” color blocking scheme.
Last year brought with it 60 Air Jordan 1 releases, while this year’s calendar of drops has not been too far off that number either. Whereas 2018 and 2019 have pushed the envelope in terms of original AJ1 colorways, often straying as far away from OG color blocking as possible (such as this “First Class” iteration), 2020 seems to be a move back to more conservative, OG-inspired colorways.
The Pine Green version above flips the popular Bred and Royal color blocking, adding green to a premium black leather. If rumors are to be believed, we’ll be seeing this version in late February next year.
Of course, the accuracy of these claims cannot be verified, especially not so far in advance, so stay tuned for any updates.
