Nike has teased the return of one of the more under-appreciated Air Max sneakers from the '90s, the Air Metal Max. Considering Nike product shots of the sneaker have leaked, this gem of an Air Max model will likely be released soon.

The above turquoise and white colorway is particularly eye-catching and would fit right in at Miami beach this summer. The wavy design — reminiscent of the Air Max Plus — draws immediate attention to the upper of the sneaker, while a Max Air unit is implemented below.

The Air Metal Max debuted in 1997 and received a retro release just a few years later. Since then, the silhouette has remained somewhat forgotten but rumors indicate Nike is gearing up to bring back the model in both OG and new colorways.

No specific launch date has been announced so stay tuned for updates as we get them.
