O.N.S

Brand: O.N.S

Season: Holiday 2018

Key Pieces: Sartorial-inspired steez with a vibrant twist, and the two-tone chunky turtleneck sweater, plus the kimono-collar puffer jacket with impressive patchwork, and the corduroy trousers are notable standouts.

Editor's Notes: After teaming up with Abasi Rosborough on a digital nomad-inspired SS18 capsule, NYC-based retailer O.N.S now unveils its Holiday 2018 offerings as part of the brand's ongoing Creative Lab project with emerging New York City designers, this time alongside Post Imperial's Niyi Okuboyejo.

The collection, entitled "For Issa," is inspired by renowned Senegalese painter, poet, sculptor, and playwright, Issa Samb. Designer Niyi Okuboyejo looked to Issa Samb's avant-garde Laboratorie Agit’Art movement, as well as the artist's eccentric and flamboyant aesthetic for the main theme of the line.

Encompassing jackets, knitwear, shirts, bottoms, accessories, and more, the collection is punctuated with patchwork detail, West African prints, dotted and striped patterns, as well as the usage of bright tones like red, orange, and yellow for additional vibrance. Materials utilized consist of fine merino wool, corduroy, cotton poplin, and more to ensure a quality crafted assortment.

If you like what you see, you can shop the collaborative collection at O.N.S' flagship as well as online now. Also, here are five African menswear brands that are Wakanda fresh.

For more shopping, KITH and Greg Lauren debut a dystopian-inspired ivy league collection.
