Designer: Rick Owens

Location: Paris

Season: FW18

Key Pieces: The yellow/brown flannel prints found on shirts and oversized coats were notable as a big departure from the usual Rick Owens shades of grey/brown/black. They were styled around the waist, off the back, off the shoulder and tied around the chest.

Editor’s Notes: For FW18, Rick Owens appeared to step out of his usual monochromatic looks with new patterns (such as the flannel) and a flash of electric blue on the sleeves of his outerwear. The bags, which were styled low around the waist had a hairy quality not unlike the sculpture from his Milan retrospective. As usual, they were a few gothic elements such as white face paint and warrior-like headgear.
