After ILoveMakonnen shared news about an upcoming posthumous collaboration between Lil Peep and XXXTentacion, Ski Mask the Slump God posted a previously unheard clip of X freestyling.

The Florida rapper and frequent collaborator of the late XXXTentacion took to Instagram to share an audio recording of X spitting bars that would become a part of his song “Hope” from his final album ?, captioning the post with “If You Listen Closely You’ll Hear Jahseh Free styling To Hope Before It Dropped And You’ll Hear Why No One Will Ever Understand The Friendship We Had , I Love You Vrother I’ll Remember To Remember Always.”

The song “Hope” was dedicated to the victims of the Parkland High School shooting. Listen to the freestyle below, and be sure to revisit our op-ed on XXXTentacion and the ethics of posthumous success in hip-hop right here.
