Stone Island continues with its Shadow Project, a collection headed by Acronym's design team - Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh. Both brands are known to be very technical driven, innovating by default, and adding new functionality and details to their garments every season. As expected the team-up was perfect and the resulting Stone Island Shadow Project Collection one of the most interesting to come from the Italian brand in a long time.

A couple of seasons into the project, we still like a lot what we see. Shadow Project now has definitely taken more of its own route with its own signature details and looks. New colors are being introduced every season and while never losing sight of the technical aspect and functionality, the collection has also become more fashionable.

Driven, as ever, by textile innovations from the Stone Island laboratory, the ninth Stone Island Shadow Project collection is an investigation into modern texture and structure. An intrinsic understanding of technology and performance renders garments that are unfussy and practical. An informed view of contemporary culture and context renders a look and feel that is urbane and progressive. 5719 defines modernity as an innate flowstate of ease and nuance. Base materials have been selected for their natural warmth and familiarity. Reassuring and subdued, they are then carefully tuned for protection and carefree daily use. Piece dyed fabrics in the collection are precise, rich, and tactile. Garment dyed fabrics achieve signature depths of colour saturation and expression. New to Shadow this season are knitted items and engineered knit details. Notably the new Stealth Jacket; a Gore-Tex Proshell crombie whose hidden pocket array is knit ‘in macchina’.
